Gibberish

Since my Grandkids are not closeby or planning to visit in the near future and all the neighborhood kids are all grown up and gone,Ill ask on here for your kind assistance.Why is it that when I try to open some attachments an array of numbers letters and symbols come up or as I call it gibberish?An example is when I open Mongrel's Website and try to open the part where he describes what he has in progress the written description come up fine but the pictures are gibberish.This happens on both my laptop and the desktop it also occurs on other attachments that are in word.

There are unfortunatly sever reasons this can occur.  The most common is that your computer does not have the software needed to read the picture properly... There are other's who may be able to better answer your question than I...

You were right,I had corrupted Open Office somehow,so I redownloaded and all works fine.Thanks for the tip.I know just enough about computers to be dangerous.
