Engraved Flat Hunter Powder Horn .. by R.E. Froehlich

I am offering another of my flattened powder horns, that can be worn on either side.  It is approximately 11 1/4 inches around the OS curve.  3 inches top to bottom at the base and only 7/8 inch in thickness.  It has a turned applied deer antler spout tip that is both glued and pinned with wooden pegs and iron strap staple as many originals. __  The maple base plug has a solid brass pull for rear strap attachment.

I have engraved a 18th-19th period eagle on one side of this horn and a folk art sun face on the other side.  I finished the horn in a lightly stressed old horn finish.
