I bought a couple of 6x9 canvas dropcloths to use as tent fly's
Got them home and washed then two times in hot water and dried them
I was disappointed that the weave didn't tighten up as expected until I noticed the cotton content 60% cotton 40% polyester
Went to Lowe's today and found 100% cotton washed them and they shrunk up as expected

Welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll .........................you can still use it as a ground cloth  ;D

Chaffa Hosa

Speaking of ground cloth would a feller be wise on damp ground to use the period correct  plastic sheeting under the cloth?

Dryball

Depends on whether you like being wet or not! ;D

Uhhhh ... that comes under dont ask dont tell :) Usually in MOST period setting if you cant see it ,it dont count against ya. Just like some really beautiful chests are made with styrofoam linings for coolers but look like they belong there in the setting with all the other things.

Ranger

Yep, what Frank said.  ;)
