I bought this barrel at an auction over the weekend. It seems to be in fairly good shape. It is still in the white with some minor rust spots. One area you can see from the pics there is some very small pits and discoloration. There isnt anything I dont believe wouldnt clean right up with a little file and prep work to brown or blue it. I have ran a couple of patches down the bore and it did have a little color on them, a little steel wool or bore paste would probably clean it right up. It did seem to be too bad but I dont have a bore light. The front sight is a target site with the circle in the middle. The barrel doesnt have a dove tail cut in it for a rear sight. I assume it was set up to use a tang sight with it. I am not sure what rifle this barrel fits so I will give what dimensions I can.
15/16" across the muzzle from flat to flat
3/8" flats
29" long from the back of the breech
8 1/8" from back of breech to center of wedge pin slot.

The dimensions look like it would be a drop in for a TC.

Thats what I figured but I am not sure. There isnt much info out there on these barrels. Evidently they dont make them anymore. Thanks for looking!

Douglas made very high quality barrels, but have been out of business for 20+ years. I'm not sure, but I think the XX was for eXtra high target grade. I couldn't afford a Douglas back then and never paid much attention to them because of it.
The .36 was really popular in that time frame as a smallbore target and small game gun.

What area of SW Missouri are you in?  I'm in Kansas City.  I might be interested.  If you aren't too far, I could drive down there with my rifle and test fit the barrel.

This is a TC .45 barrel.  It's 29" long.  15/16 across the flats.  Each flat is 3/8" wide.  8 1/8" from the back of the breech to the center of the wedge slot.  Looks like she'll fit.
