This isn't a contest. I need to dispose of a few items that belonged to my late ex-father-in-law, who presided in the East when I was initiated into Freemasonry. They obviously have some sentimental value to me, but, one: I've never been much for dressing in a way that would allow me to make use of this stuff; and, two: I'm not active in my Lodge any more and for a variety of reasons doubt I ever will be. These things need to be passed to someone who might appreciate and make use of them.

On the left are three commemorative Masonic coins, the largest one about 3" across. Below those are four event-specific pins that Dick (my late ex-FIL) acquired when he attended a Master Mason Degree on the deck of the battleship Missouri, at Pearl Harbor. Then there are two cufflinks, a tie clasp, a belt buckle, and (not pictured) a southwestern bolo tie, all matching and displaying the square-and-compass. There is a second pair of cufflinks, red with gold S&C, a couple of hat or lapel pins, and a second bolo tie that's made from turquoise and other southwestern semi-precious stone.

I'm giving this stuff away to the first member here who PM's me, says he wants it all, and identifies himself as a brother Master Mason. I would ask that $5.20 be forwarded to cover the cost of a small flat-rate Priority Mail box to send these items, but if someone has a need for these items and really doesn't have that sum to spare I'll cover the shipping.

I hope someone is able to make use of these things. They and Dick deserve better than them being stashed in a box in a dresser drawer somewhere.

My Father is a Master Mason, was some kind of Commander in this region, and I even attended his installment at the Shriners Grotto Hall. I never did get involved. I'm not much of a joiner. Never understood the Masonic deal, but never asked. Looks like some nice loot for a guy that's involved! Nice thing to do Mike!
