Last of the guns that should have gone to Friendship last month, but didn't make it. With this one up for sale I'm going to get back to commissioned guns without breaks for back-burner projects.

This one is fullstocked in cherry and trimmed in brass. The barrel is a 42" x 15/16" NOS Numrich, .50 caliber with slow (I think 1-66") twist. The lock, except for the springs and hammer, was handmade by my late friend Rex Patterson, and while the internals aren't on the same level of wax-cast perfection as found on Siler and similar mechanisms, everything works perfectly. Trigger pull length is 13 1/2" and pull weight is 1 1/2 pounds. For the lefty wanting a late-period (roughly 1840) piece or just a plain, tough hunting rifle, this might be the one.

As usual I offer a break on the price for forum members. GunBroker starting bid price is $315, Buy It Now is $345, and there is $25 shipping. Buy it via PM on this forum and the price is a flat $325, shipped to your door.

Thought I would add, based on the experience I'm having with the latest rifle I sold on GunBroker -- if for the amount of money I charge anyone expects the level of perfection found on a rifle worth several thousand dollars -- please don't waste my time inquiring about this one. Perfection comes at a price that I don't charge.

Would you consider a trade?

Okay, after talking with Mongrel I decided that the LOP is just too short for me and my 6'4" frame, but some lefty needs to jump on this deal.

If this was one inch longer and a flinter, you couldn't get between me and it!  Very nice.

If you've still got it, I might have a buyer on my Mowery, if so I'll take it...PM me. Thumper (AKA Roland)
