Man those people just got hammered last night and today. My prayers go out to all the families of the lost. And more prayers to the ones left behind. And to think I'm always complaining about it snowing all the time. hdslp

Yes, A few ice storms are pretty pale in comparison, continued prayers going out.

DEADDAWG

As you all are praying for all those who were in harms way with the recent storms, please say a special prayer for our brethren across the six states hit hard by those storms. We have brethren from here at TMC that live in some of those towns hardest hit, some completely leveled by tornadoes.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the storms. I have at least one good friend with various family members who were caught in the Mississippi Level 5. So far as he knows and has told me, they're all okay. He forwarded me an e-mail from his daughter, who along with mentioning a looter having been shot last night (as of Friday) also mentioned being able to sleep securely and thanked her dad for having provided her with guns and the knowledge of how to use them.

There is a lesson in that, that the wise among us should never allow to be forgotten or overlooked. Our "sport" was once upon a time a matter of life and death to many people and in about the blink of an eye everything we know and do -- owning and shooting guns, living primitive, practicing self-reliance as a matter of course -- might once more become matters of life and death, or at the very least the difference between living with a certain sense of security even in rough situations, or living in fear.

I don't have any intentions of starting a political discussion here on a prayer thread, but it is worth simply commenting that the man currently occupying the White House not too awful long ago spoke condescendingly of folks like us for sticking to our God and our guns. Well, along with EACH OTHER, those are right near the top of the list of things we most need at times like this. thmbsup flwa

Driving up to Indianaplois today from Missouri I saw a lot of flooded creeks and rivers along I-70.  What we see on TV and hear about on radio pales in comparison with seeing the damage with your own eyes!  My prayers to all who are affected by this weather!

Just spent the morning holding my wife while she cried her eyes out over all this. She is just so upset over all she's seeing and hearing. I got Family down in Alabama and don't know yet how they are. Whole family up here is worried sick.

My way of dealing with it? Lots of prayer and some Lynrd Skynrd playing very, VERY loud.

My prayers go out for those in those storm areas. May God give them strength to carry on.  And to also thank God for his protective hand when the storms came through the Carolinas Wednesday night.  Again we were spared, there were two lines of storms that came through   and we were between the two.  The wind was pretty strong  and we had the top of a maple tree twisted off but nothing like in other places.  Thank God for protecting us.

Hungryjohn I was thinking about you and your family today. I just needed to reach out and ask if you had heard from your family in Alabama? I've kept everyone in my prayers who went through those terrible storms as well.
I hope you recieved good news. I'm not prying, but something inside me wanted to ask.
Keeping all in my prayers.
