I am looking for a recipe called Angel biscuits; that my great aunt would make for me as a child. I remember these biscuits being roughly 3" x 3" by about 2 to 2 half inches thick, being extremely flaky, yet still being very cake like in texture. They were slightly sweet. Unfortunately when she wrote down the recipe it was for her famous blue bowl that has been lost over time;that and at 98 years old she had a tendency to forget some of the ingredients. It would make a full cookie sheet sized loaf. I'm not sure what else I can do to describe this to help those of you who happen to be cooks and bakers on our online community. Anyway I would appreciate any and all help that any of you may have. if you have any further questions I will be more than happy to try to help you help me.

Thanks for the question and links for the Angel Biscuits!
that pulled up memories of my Grandmother Blevins baking them from when I was 5 years old!
She had the old wood stove and cooked with lard, man was that good eating!
It was sure nice to see her and smell and taste her Cooking even if was from a memory that was 50 years old! thmbsup
