i found this nice bayonet at a garage sale that simeine had modefied. i took the old handle off and it was just a bunh of metal washers the metal part of the handle wat just a piece of round metal so i took a nice piece of persimmon wood and carved out a handle i cut threads on it and looked in my grandpas old box of knobs and stuff found a nice brass washer for up near the blade and a nice brass knob for the end where i cut threads hope it looks good

Nice rework of a a modern  knife. Spend a little time with some sandpaper on the handle and give it a couple coats of paste wax. That persimmon will look great and get better with age.
