Thank you all for understanding; except for hotfxr who used to put tacks in my kitchen chair.  Doing the best I can and have not yet had to call on Bazuzu; he wants tooo much back.

I only did that a few times and you didn't even bleed that much.  hdslp

I was hoping that "The Revenant" would be a boost. However it was 2 1/2 hours of my life I'll never get back. It also seems that in todays society, anything to do with firearms is publicly frowned upon. Especially here in CA.  [hmm]

If you can get on it at all, even just a little bit, you might find the forum good recovery therapy.

Yes indeed

They went out of business long ago.  I'm thinking around 2006.

General Muzzleloading / austin and halleck muzzleloaders

 Friends,
Wondering whatever became of Austin Halleck muzzleloaders ?   Another company from back in the day.
Our rod & gun club had a gun raffle back around  '87 and had one for a prize.  A very nice prize, I might add, as it had a beautiful thumbhole stock (ahead of its time) and was a very nice looking piece.
I haven't seen or heard anything about them in years, anyone with info. about them ?

Just a thought, but if interest in muzzleloading has been declining (if it really has) what are the reasons ?
One I can think of, is the most unfortunate and disappointing demise of Thompson Center Arms.
When they began in about 1967, they made muzzleloaders that people could mostly afford to buy and use, and I think this company had a lot to do with the developing interest in muzzleloaders hunting/shooting and overall hobby.   I remember them advertising every month in The American Rifleman in the first few pages of the magazine, particularly for the Scout in line muzzleloading rifle.   Ah, those were the days.

Lets keep talking.   Memories, new ideas, and looking forward to the future are all good topics.   With the knowledge displayed here, I would like to learn.
