We Bulldog lady and I spent the day at the local Air Force Reserve unit's Family day. Helping the members and their families learn about the benifits available to them and generally just supporting them....
After 9/11 someone said to me that everyone in the US would have at least some connection to the victims of that terrible tragedy, and for me that is true. Lt. Col Karen Wagner was killed in the pentagon attack and we attended the same high school, Judson, in Converse Texas. 5 years ago the district built a new high school and named it in her honor, Wagner HS. Although she was older than me, I do remember meeting her through friends that were also in Jr.ROTC. http://www.9-11heroes.us/v/Lt_Col_Karen_Wagner.php
I would offer a prayer to the families and friends of those victims as well.
Never Forget!
I never will. I was on my way to a construction meeting for a new grade school in Struthers Ohio. I was listening to Bob and Tom on the radio when the first plane hit the Tower. Bob and Tom announced it on their show. I was thinking this is not a very funny skit, when it sunk in that it was for real. When I got to the job trailer there was about 20 of us tough burly construction types huddled around a little 13" tv watching the news. There were not many dry eyes in the room.
We did.
