Blasted things just keep coming up in my yard..they seem to be VERY well established. I cut them off just below ground level in the late spring and when the Monsoon rains come rolling in the beginning of July, they just burst out of the ground again.. Just finished a big bowl of them with a sprinkling of wine vinegar,
darned tasty eating..

Dandelion wine: 4 qts boiling water, 2 quarts dandelion blossoms, 3 oranges sliced, 3 lemons sliced, 1 yeast cake, 4 lbs sugar,
Remove all stems and pour boiling water over blossoms,. Let it stand for 3 days,m stirring once each day. Starain at he end of third day. Add oranges and lemons, (including peel), yeast and sugar. Let it stand an additonal three days, stirring once each day. Strain at the end of third day,. Bottle and cap. Keep for six monthes before using.! Have a new crop by then!!!
Imitation Wine:
2 cans unsweetend orange juice 1 qt, 1 can unsweeted grapefruit juice 1 qt, 2 cans water use above cans for measure, 4 packets aide drink powder, orange flavor, 1 pkt dry yeast.
Into two cans of hot water put five pounds of sugar and the four packages of drink powder. Next put in the orange and grapefruit juice and yeast after dissolveing in 1/2 cup of the warm water, Stir well to mix, divide equally into 3 one gallon jugs. Put caps on loosley. After fermentaion ceases, strain and into 2 clean jugs and seal. It improves with age,
