I did as bit of trading and ended up with a Chambers Pennsylvania Fowler built by Mike Gahagan in the '90's, smoothbore, 46" 20gauge barrel, roundface lock, a small amount of carving on the stock and engraving on the lock, used, but in good shape. It arrived today and I have to say I`m impressed with it..It points excellent and is super light..Workmanship is outstanding..

Rickd, you did good! That's one beautiful Fowler. Dem ducks are in for a heap of trouble! ;D
I agree with Ironwood. That is one beautiful gun. But I think you rifle stand may be hard to move about pnic ROFL ROFL
Thanks..I`m really not into smoothbores but I do like this one
Well, since you're not really into smoothbores, just send 'er my way. That's one beautiful smokepole.
very nice rick,i really like the look of those round face locks dntn
Beautiful....the only thing I can see wrong with it is with that 46" barrel...I am too short to load the thing.
Bullforg
one thing about a long barrel like that is if you don't get quick kill on the bear, maybe you can fend him off long enough that he goes ahead and dies, or maybe not
That's one of the nicest fowlers I've seen in a while. :applause:
:applause: Absolutly beautiful.Best lines ive seen in a rifle or smoothy in a while.
That is a beauty.
*wolf whistle*
That's a right purty gun.....wow! thmbsup
As pretty as it is, I would have to say I would have to compromise....get me something to stand on to load it. Got me wanting one now.
I`m 5' 8" tall and its almost as tall as I am
[hmm] That would make it several inches TALLER than me! (susp)
Well now if we ever meet to go shoot the gun I`ll bring a box for you to stand on..To be honest I`ve yet to shoot it and was wondering how hard its going to be to load its so darn long
ROFL ROFL well if it becomes too much of a bother to load (short people wise{jus kiddin}) send her my way an I'll load er fer ya ROFL ROFL hntr ROFL Seriously that is a beautiful fowler and you say your not into smoothbores much, I think this one will change your mind thmbsup
I love the way it looks....guess I would just have to suffer the loading problems. I can almost safely say, I know what our dear departed dryball would have done with that 46" barrel.
bull forg
I would just about bet the fram that The Great Spirit has had to do one of two things either import hack sawa by the truck load or ban the use of them all together ROFL ROFL
Even with all the modifications they were wepons that he had a use for and still looked good
I got a chance today to run a few round balls through the gun and she handles very well..Loading this long puppy was a challenge at first..A very, very fun gun to shoot
What is the weight?
On the bathroom scale around 6 1/2 pounds

For sure and for certain Dennis would have had it to a handy 26" or so pack gun right quick an in a hurry ROFL He did like them quick pointin guns !
Very nice - it looks sturdy and well made and should give years of great service. thmbsup ;D
I WOULDN'T BE TOO PROUD TO WEAR PLATFORM MOCCASINS TO LOAD IT IF'N IT WAS MINE!
Beautiful fowler. Gotta love those round face locks. Speaking of which, that lock looks like a Chambers Virginia lock to me.
DANG! She sure is purty!!! thmbsup thmbsup thmbsup
wow, that is one nice fowler
