Anyone have a pattern or ideas on making a tinder bag? I am thinking of making a tinder bag to carry my flint & steel and a tinder nest like a western trapper circa 1840's.
what I have done previously is take a long piece of whatever hide you have as wide as you want it to be, fold it almost in half, to the desired length you want the bag to be and let the rest be the flap...sew the sides together and if you want to, turn it inside out and put a strap or a belt loop on it.
