Eastern Ohio Feburary 2010

Snow....18 to 30 inches deep depending where you are. Took to the woods with snowshoe on..Check the wind on the seed pods of the Goldenrod..Wind in my favor, follow the west line to the Hemlocks..Deer should be bed down there..Move slow....There She is, just where you thought..Move slow.80 yds..60 yards..40 yards...Well within North Woods Trade Rifle....Season is over...She is carrying next years ....Her time is now, trying to survive...Make a noise and see what She does...Ears back never looks My way, She is up and running, She knows what to expect...This is better than the harvest...You All got to get out and experience this .......Makes it all fall into place....

Best Memories on Your Trek.....Squirrel.....

Sometimes the sneak and peak is better than the kill....got within 15feet of spike elk on a sneak lookin' to shoot a deer...he sure looked a lot bigger when he jumped up and we both thought we should have more room between us!!
