srndr Woke up this mornin to a foot of snow and still snowin.Supposed to have only got 3-6 inches.Wonder if them meteroligists cast chicken bones or read tea leaves.
Had flurries yestarday, colder today, like 29 right now. Had two inches of rain over night from thursday to friday. Lotsa ice. It sux bein sick.
Got about a foot the other day and now temps have dropped to 20 below at night.
Really going through the firewood.

Well we got about 1/2" ice then about 8" snow, ended yesterday. I suspect Jim & Di got it worse than me.
And this is all in Oklahoma and was the 2nd big storm includeing christmas.
All them that was wanting a old time oklahoma winter is gettin their wish. blah blah srndr srndr
at the height of the snow I went out and got firewood for the house - piece of ice broke off so i measured it.. just over 1/2 inch (5/8) of clear ice and the top of the truck parked in the open had 6 1/2" of snow on it plus the ice.... Weather report for our area said 8-10 inches was the final total... Lost internet (I use Satellite) but luckily did not lose power this time...
Our road is totally impassable to wheeled traffic right now, dirt track with a 20% grade and a private road so no county help. I can alk the 1/2 mile to the mailbox and as soon as possible will get one of the trucks to the pavement and leave it there bye the mailbox so I can get into town if needed. We usually stock up if we know a storm is coming and did this time so we are OK for a couple of days. As long as I have coffee, and internet I am OK... everything else I can do the old fashioned way and use my newly found skills that the fine people here have helped me develop!
We even got some snow in old Carolina. We got about 5 inches last night then it started sleeting sort of packed it down today. Now it has started snowing again. Got in some wood and worked on a couple projects today. It is suppose to be 10 tonight so I got in some more wood and will be in for the night. May try to venture out tomorrow at least on my 4 wheeler. Sure is pretty and quiet back here in the woods.
we got a 1/2in of ice and right at 8in of snow....which is bad for a certain chicken killing cat.

got 6-7" here in SW Mo. but the sun came out today and most of the roads are in good shape. we escaped the ice this time but the last 2 years we had brutal ice storms. sure wish that global warming would come this way. I'M READY FOR SPRING
