Carl Dyer center seams.

No, the nylon thread ain't correct. My feet don't know the difference and anyone studying my feet that closely has too much time on their hands.... ;D

Wouldn't mind some other footwear -- nothing wrong with the Dyer's and they're my go-to shoes for hunting (the stuff in books about being able to "ghost" through the woods, in moccasins -- true -- even being careful you can't be that quiet in anything with hard soles) -- but folks back in the day did have "normal" (like "store-bought'n") shoes if they could get them.... I like Zan's half-boots but they probably wouldn't fit me.... ;D

I wear center seams at most events. I have beeen wearing a pair of plain toe leather shoes, lately, because my feet get ta hurtin on the rocks sometimes. I have some lines shoe packs for the colder events and deer huntin.

Shoe pack/Fort Ligonier mocs I made from oil-tanned leather.  The bottoms have 2 thicknesses of saddle leather.  Then I cheat a little and put some shoe goo on the bottoms for traction.  With gel insoles, they rock!
