my doughter just rang me and my granddoughter has just bin rushed into hospital with a suspected blocked bowel she is just 19 she is just going into surgery now so we are all praying that it is just a simple blockage and nothing Else.

thanks Ian,well she came through the op OK she had a hole in here large bowel with a twist and part of here small bowel had died but she is going to be OK thank god.

Bernie, Sorry to hear of your grandaughter's problem. So thankful the doctors were able to repair it. Jeanne and I will be remember her, you, and your family in our prayers.
I am glad she is doing well.
I have heard of that happening (news stories & such) but thought it was a very rare occurrence, but apparently it is more common than we thought.
We enjoy trying to live as they did over 100 years ago, but with that era's medicine, they would have never have been able to diagnose her problem.
Everyone talks about the "good old days" but with MRI machines, Global sharing of medical info, the advances in Lifesaving medicines, These just may be the good old days.
I wish her a speed recovery.

thanks to all for your prays guys, she got back from Bali 3 weeks ago doctor said she probably picked up a bug[bad bacteria] that is why i don't go to these 3rd world Holiday cesspools they don't no what the word hygiene means is as far as i am concerned.

next time you all decide to go on Holiday, Come over here and visit my little piece of gods green earth.... I figure it only 18 hours or so by air and only a couple of thousand to get here from Australia So ya might as well come for a month and visit all of us around here, spend a day or two with each one!
