This is a piece of buffalo leg bone That am gonna make into a powder flask I wanted to try and scratch something into it i choose the Alamo and the 1824 flag as it is the flag that flew over the Alamo during the battle in 1836. It didnt turn out as well as i would have liked it to and those of you that do this often will probly find it to be less then bad even . But i figure ya gotta start sometime if you ever expect to get better at something..

That is beautiful work.
I`ve sen 18`th and 19`th century pieces that were`nt that good !
How much did this end up holding?
Looks good! Anybody ought to be proud to carry that flask . I like the idea also.
Looks great. The only suggestion I have is to switch to a white diamond finishing compound, which will leave grey/black color in the cracks instead of red from rouge.
Looks fine to me for a first attempt. Dont stop now as your just getting started and will make steps ahead as you will with any endeavor. You shoulda seen some of my first attempts at things. Some of them were terrible, but others were acceptable. Yours is fine compared to some and is great compared to others. Ya have a talent and ya should go with it.
