Years ago Navy Arms and others used to make double twelves with little bitty shorty swap-out barrels for battle re-enactors. Might be a handy rascal for something or other whether loaded up with #4 buck or a punkin. Anybody ever tangled with one of those?
Dose kick like a mule tell you and thing?
Had a chance to get one once, price was real good too. It was a close out sale. Had 14" barrels as I remember.

I have the coach gun and it's one fine double. A beauty and fun to shoot! hntr
Now THAT'S a hand gonne!!!
Gotta ask...ever find out how she does with round ball?
I bought 50 and plan to find out soon. I am browning the barrels right now and will test it out as soon as it is finished. My main load is number 4 buck and it is deadly on jackrabbits and armadillos. The guy I got it from had never shot it, but had taken the blue off the barrels and never got around to browning them. I will post a picture when I finish the barrels. If any one has a broke pedersoli shotgun stock I would be interested in it as I would love to have a pistol grip for it.
a few reenactment buddies are still using them they are nice but do not stand up to battle use like a standard rifle or carbine. but they shoot good, and I am talking about shooting 100 plus blank rounds per weekend. I know there is no pressure in the barrel. I am talking wear and tear on the locks.
