Title: Number 400 in progress
Post by: Horner75 on April 04, 2009, 05:08:57 PM
This is my 400th Powder Horn made and engraved (Scrimshawed) since 1975.  The rounded figures are Germanic Hechs or Hex symbols.  When this horn is finished, I will age color it. It is only about 50% engraved at present.  I hope that you like it! ... Rick

p.s. ... 1750 Duct tape optional

Yep! 400!  hdslp.... Now I have to correct my original post!  I should of said 400 powder horns made, not made and engraved, as I have made many unengraved horns too!  It amazes me too sometimes, but it's true!  I have kept a journal for the last 34 years and know where each horn went to the original owner.  I'm kind of a freak for records and started out keeping a TRADERS JOURNAL in 1975.  Kind of fun to keep track!  I'm retired now and work in my shop daily, but still take a day off now and then and grab my fish'n pole!
