Title: Gun Hooks
Post by: Swampman on March 12, 2009
My friend Dave Becker made these iron hooks for my kitchen years ago.  I did some mods & mounted them on some oak plaques from Lowe's.  I need to glue some leather inside the hooks to protect the gun.

Nice hooks. I'd rethink leather for a cushion though, I was told long ago that the oils in the hide promote rusting.

Great lookin hooks! Thumper has it right though. I would glue on some wool or felt for a cushon.

The leather shouldn't touch any steel, but I'll use felt.

I'd space the hooks so they were they supported the gun on the wood only. And gently insert or remove the gun as needed.

Great looking hooks; I'd love to have a pair or two of the iron works dntn

In the Wal-Mart Craft Department they have some stick on felt in 9 X 12 inch sheets.  Just cut it, peel, and stick.
