Ya'll know me well by now. haha! I portray a Wichita woman at our local events, because during the early 1700s there would have been very few if any white women in Kansas/Oklahoma. I can not be exact in my interpretation because Wichita Women did not wear much, but I do the tatooing, brass arm bands and such.
If I am going to a rendezvous where I can be a white woman, I am a poor French woman. This way, I can just wear a man's shirt, which I made and embroidered and I found a really loosley spun old looking fabrick and I wrap it around my waist and tie it with hemp rope. I can wear my moccasins and leggings from my other outfit and away we go!
