Title: winiter project
Post by: jsemko on January 29, 2009
i was hoping to post this one as a project in the works and post pics as i went, but my wonderful computer got a nasty cold that put it down for some time. so now i get to put up a bunch of pics and and go from there.
its a 42 inch 50 cal green mountain barrel i am not quite sure what style the lock is (it was in a junk box at a garage sale)

Garage sales around here are mainly clothes, some bicycles, lawn mowers and snowthrowers.  Go to a hundred and never find anything.  Miss one and someone tells you about the great stuff they got at that one.  Can't win. hdslp  That sure is a find -- and you're doing some nice work on it as well.

it was all luck the lady was actually going to though the stuff out cause it belonged to late husband and had no idea what it was she thought it was a part for a cap gun cause he was into cap guns ... personally ithink she was mistaken cap guns for cap locks myself but who knows

I stopped at a garage sale and on the back table was a bunch of modern gun stuff I thought I'd look at for some friends and there were 3 cans of DuPont 3f and 3 2lb cans of 2f with a sign,$10.00. I asked the lady if that was apiece or for all, she said she thinks for all,I handed her ten bucks and walked away a very happy Skinner! thmbsup
