I've seen a couple axes sold on here by this guy and am wondering if anyone here has tried this or can tell how difficult it be..

He makes nice stuff. Hammering out the blade and poll aren't that difficult (2.5-3hrs), but the finish work is real time consuming. I leave my stuff rough cause I don't have all the finishing tools he does.
Files, sand paper and alot of time are all that is needed. You can look at your local pawn shops and possibly find a small belt sander or a 4" angel grinder and sanding discs, but you still need the files no matter what else you use.
Steve, In retrospect, I guess I mis-spoke, I've got all that stuff, I just need to know where to buy a "bucket'o patience" to use it all LOL. After 35 years as a custom bench jeweler my high polish days are long gone!
Awsome!
I've made a couple. Gave one away and keeping the other! A ball pein makes one heck of a kindlin' buster! Mine warn't that purty though!
