But you`ll have to wait about an hour till the true oil drys, your gonna like this one. thmbsup
Outstanding ! Wanna come over and help with my projects ;D
Here she be, gotta do some asking to find out what they called this model.
You set it on top of your shoulder and it has sights and a serpintine.
Looks better in person, inside pics are a drag.
50 cal, 12 inch barrel, ten inch bore.
Can`t wait to shoot it.

Cool gun! If the stock sits on top your shoulder how can you see the sights...are they offset? And what time period would this style of gonne belong to?
Ned
See how in picture 7 i carved out the stock for your cheek so ya can look down the sights.
It date1s in the 1400 or early 1500 i believe, i will get some info from the experts and let ya know for sure.
Thanks.
Thats cool Lenn thmbsup Now yer ready fer deer huntin , now that ya gots sights !
Thanks Frank, that`s my hope. They actually made a gun like this i just have to find the lititure about it. wtt
I saw them with the hookiebob in the stock but hadnt an idea why it was that way.
Here`s a pic of a Hakenbuchse with a tock like this.
If ya can figure out how to make that pic show i`d appreciate it.

That the pic you wanted Lenn?
Ned
Wow, you definately build some different stuff.
Thanks battman the odder the better, yep that be the one thanks Ned. A more accurate representation would be the 1440`s models on the web page i gave the link too.
Just came in from shooting it, it was a blast. Had her loaded with 45 grains of FFF and could easily shoot 60-65 grains.
Shoot about a four inch group at 15 yards.

And one heck of a lotta fun, me thinks it`s my favorite, look out deer. hntr
Tanks Roy. chrrs
I'm sure you could get that smack dabbin with a bit of practice thmbsup
cool lenn i like that one.
Thanks Tom , I think i`ll be able to get it shootin pretty straight after it warms up. I made the front sight extra long for tuning.
Lenn , get a good 5/8" bit for a 62 interchangeable barrel thmbsup
I have a 5/8 th ream, tell me more, what can i shoot in that caliber.
.600 round ball or 20 guage wads for scattergun thmbsup
Don`t seem worth the slight gain in diamiter, one inch or bigger sounds like more fun. thmbsup
The 600 rb is around 320 grs of lead compared to 180 or so of 50 cal thmbsup
I`m confused, nothin new, what cal. is a .600? where do ya get those RB`s
The nominal cal is .62 I cast mine and TOW has them or Lee makes a mould.
Hmmm i`m getting more interested, I could just run my ream down one of these 50`s. So your telling me ya can patch a .600 ball and load it in a 5/8ths bore.
5/8" is .625 so .600 rb and .010 -.012 greased should do it .
I think I'd take it to 9/16" first .
Will have to see, i`m done building for a while, I think.
Thanks for the info.
sure is a great looking firearm, Pitchy!!!
Thanks RB appreciate the compliments chrrs
Seen this on another board and thought i`d try it, mustard for a day or so then mist bluing on it. We`ll see. ucrzy

Can't wait to see that.....
It ought to etch in !
How long should i leave it on, i`m impatiant, just ask the wife. ROFL
If you put it in a box with a wet sponge somewhere warm I thing it would accelerate its action.
I love it when when you talk that way Frank. ROFL
LOL ;D The evaporation from the damp sponge will keep the mustard from drying out and the vinegar in it from evaporating as quickly so it can work better .
Snow bank won`t work?
Need a little warmth for a little evaoration.
Put it in a zip bag with a sponge or is that to airtight and the whole barrel will rust

Well its a tough go, the psrt under the mustard stayed grey and slightly etched. I put fresh mustard over the old everyday for three days, no patience either.
The part between the mustard rusts too so ya gotta try and get that off too before bluing. I aplied blue with a small paint brush after the mustard was removed.
It`s different alright.

Turned out really cool, Lenn. Might try and do some of that on a ferw things. Wonder could I write my name in mustard??
Thanks Dave, don`t know if I like it or not.
I`d try it on something your not real attached to first. thmbsup
sister-in-law???
