Title: Shooting bench plans
Post by: doggoner on September 16, 2025, 07:17:35 PM
I thought this might help someone get a better shoot place--- or not. It is for right or left handed shooters.

Your bench looks just like the benches at the gun club I belong to.  It's kinda like a classic design, stable, strong but heavy.  I had to leave mine behind when we moved but it got used a lot.  it didn't have a seat with it but I sat on an empty, plastic grout bucket.  It also had a brass catcher that snapped on the side quickly for when unmentionables were fired.
Disassembled.

Only took a couple of minutes to assemble.

This is the bench I made for traveling etc. Three pipe legs that store under the top for transport and screw in at setup time. This is my daughter shooting my under hammer 45 cal. She shot it three times and said" This is my gun now." I sure miss that under hammer.

When the school that "She Who Must be Obeyed" did some remodeling, I scored a dozen or so desks that they were going to toss. The middle/high school type with the seat attached that look a lot like the one Doggoner's daughter is shooting from. The only drawback is they only work for right handed shooters. I donated them to the range/club that I used to belong to.
