First show today so it can only get worse since it won't be warm from now on until (maybe) summer.
50 degrees and a little sprinkle of rain that didn't even register in my rain guage. ;D
All 2023 it's been mostly chilly, overcast and rainy.
It's dry, dry, dry in Florida. No rain since the 1st of October. Hot days and cool nights.
So two snowfalls so far and more snow doesn't bother me a bit just as long as there's NO rain. Maine ain't Georgia and has only a fraction of the sunny weather I was use to.
We live in the SE of Maine and (so far) haven't got the 12' accumulations they have North and West of us.
50 degrees for a high yesterday , 22 not counting wind chill now , and we had some snow squalls ! lloks like the weather is changing gears , it`ll only go down hill from here !
37 degrees last night at home and 30 at our hunting cabin. BRRRRR!
Florida is supposed to be warm. We got 3 1/2" of rain at the hunt cabin last week and not a drop at home.
Normal cold weather hasn't hit yet for the duration. Except for a few nights of 10o to 13o it's been mostly in the 20s. But no matter what the outside temp is or whether the sun is out this is a windy place and the wind is always hard and icy.
Being from Georgia I was born and bred in that heat & humidity and not in arctic conditions. My body is up here but my heart is still in
Georgia.
If anyone is interested in the subject we got a heavy snow last night and today. I'm decrepit and I hurt but I still got out and shoveled off the deck and ramp, Scooped a clear trail to the car and all around it and removed the worst snow the plows pile up along the driveway. It wasn't much as things go but I'm paying for it now. If I had to guess I'd guess around 6" to 8" and it stuck nicely on the trees and dropped limbs, some of them about my weight.
