Title: Beaver Creek Freetrappers Fall Rendevous
Post by: flintboomer on September 20, 2021
We had about 50 or so campers, about 20 shooters. I didn't actually count and I'm not sure anybody else did.
I had fire in 7.34 seconds but someone else had 1.5 seconds.
Novelty match: 81
Rifle: 90
Pistol 20
Knife & Hawk 5
Smoothbore 0

Everything except fire: maximum score 100

Smoothbore was borrowed. I didn't have the right bullets and couldn't tell where I was hitting.

After everything was scored I took 4th place but did not win any individual matches.

My nephew and 2 of his friends will be joining the club. The friend who beat me on the rifle targets had never shot a muzzleloading rifle until we taught him 2 months ago.

1.5 seconds !  I am impressed.  I don't think I could beat that with a Zippo.

I thought I probably had it with 7.34. It was a very good time and an excellent time for me, but I don't know how to beat 1.5 seconds.
