Just heard back from the Badger. He's supposed to be confined to bed but just had to get up for a few; I can understand that. He's still in pain and is not supposed to move around. He asked me to let everybody know, so now you know. chrrs
Keep him in your prayers and thoughts and send positive energy for his quick and full recovery.

He has had a straw for a long time. Remember badgers not only can't see very well, but they have those short stubby arms. blah ROFL

Are you going to be in a classroom or do you have to teach via computer?
Mask up, stay distant and be super careful.
Sorry, been very busy and having pc issues - Yes we are in school until the 18th of December then off for the Holidays... I think they finally got it figured out - they THINK I was allergic to the subcutaneous sutures (deep stitches) they used - once they opened me up twice and washed the wound everything started to heal - I am still sore and won't be doing any shooting for a year but at least I am on this side of the dirt...
Merry Christmas to all of you!
Hey, Boss, a year is much too long; I know because it's been over a year for me. What about pistols? And do you own a .32 or .36?
snns Over a year for me too. Drs think I might do it now if I'm careful. Need to give it a try soon. New worry....daughter who is Picu nurse in Spokane came home sick and now has tested + for covid. Tough times all around this great year..2020.

Amen to that! You Stay away from her, as much as it hurts to do so... WE are a selfish bunch and don't need you getting Covid with your issues... Prayers and tobacco in the wind for your daughter, you and your family!
Thanks guys..Didn't mean to hijack/derail The Boss's posts...He needs all the help he can get.... dntn
No one should let their guard down; we'll have to keep doing what we're doing now for months to come, even with the vaccine.

If WE are the only help he has, then he is in real trouble! ;D
Naw, I have the guiding light of help from the Original founder, he visits me in dreams and tells me to crack the whip on you guys
whipping , but then the great spirits whisper to let you be and things will work out. :mini-devil-28492: cuch
[hmm] Well, I have noticed that the snow is deep with no tracks going to or coming from the back of the woodshed. That means none of us has been taken out there for a while. That alone gives me relief. We may not do the right thing, but we'll still do the "thing" (whatever that is).
Well this is as good a place as any to announce that my recovery is going well enough that I have been asked to become a permanent member of the Sand Springs, Oklahoma School district as a 6th grade science teacher, and after consult with my doctor have accepted.
Might be a little tough going from semi retired back to full time employment but I am going to try. 6th grade science what can go wrong :mini-devil-28492: :mini-devil-28492: :mini-devil-28492:
Congratulations! thmbsup You will live longer and enjoy life more. That is assuming the kids don't do you in first. ROFL
[hmm] That's great news, I think, and it will keep you off the streets. :applause:
It does cut into the "jug time" though. one of the great joys of retirement is ANY time is beer time, if I SAY it is!! chrrs
Just no big BOOMS in the class please....The little monsters might get carried away.

It seems my reputation has preceded me with this group of kids... I started the school year substitute teaching for their Assigned teacher so they do know of me... But on the 18th of December, one day shy of Winter vacation, someone set fire to the girls bathroom at the school... reportedly one of my soon to be students was the culprit...

[hmm]......You don't say....
I do say... the only bright side is I had just purchased about $100.00 worth of new science posters for the classroom and was going to put them up that evening... Had I hung them the night before I would have been buying new posters as the entire 2nd floor has some heavy smoke damage from what we are told... I think the fire got to some insulation, ceiling tiles and wiring before the fire department got it put out...
(susp) We always called that sort of thing "urchin arson".
