Say a little prayer for me and my wife . It was 18 years ago today my son was killed in an automobile accident. For some reason it has been especially hard this year. It was never easy but this year has been especially hard. I have been quarantined this week because I am to have back surgery Tuesday. So I have had plenty of time to dwell on things . Thanks!

prayers on the way
I know it must be very hard on you and your wife, especially now with too much time to think about things. You have my best wishes for recovery from you loss, and for a successful surgery. Keep the faith and heal quickly.
Prayer on the way sorry for your loss...
Prayers coming from here too. Know what you are feeling..Same here but fresher,,God bless you. Think of you every time I see or feel my feather.

Thanks guys for the prayers! Surgery went about like I expected. Just got about 6 weeks of doing nothing ahead of me. It couldn't come at a worst time. Huntin season comes in next Saturday. So I guess I'm going to need a fill in. I have one taker, my son's best friend has a little 10 year old girl that is ready to fill in . I'd be tickled to see her pick up the slack. She went youth day and saw 4 or 5 does. She wouldn't shoot because she wants to kill a buck. So good luck to her. I have a couple good books . One on Col. Mosby and one on Jeb Stuart. Two of my favorite CW commanders. After a week or so when I can get around better I'll have plenty of time to do some antler carvings.
My surgery also went well. Left little finger no longer splits and bleeds when bent. Little Z-plasti with tissue realignment and scar removal seems to have done the trick. Darned burn scars still plaguing me. Best of luck with back surgery healing.
Back to carving should help you recover. Still wearing feather full time and it seems to still be working, thanks again.
