just finished this little bag , 9 inches wide , seven deep . and will fit a belt up to 2 1/2 inches wide . would fit in at ren faire or rendezvous , as the style covers a pretty decent length of time ! would make a nice day bag for small game hunting . got it listed on etsy
beowulf,.. Useful and Beautiful ! Good work!! thmbsup
Beowulf, I like that bag! You did great work crafting it. It's about the size of my shoulder bags, plenty big, but I like yours better than the shoulder carry. One thing about shooting bags is the swinging, even with under-the-arm positioning, that causes them to constantly change position. They can get caught on brush, becoming a PITA. There is no doubt that belt carry is more secure and convenient. I've only cobbled one belt bag and it was given to a friend. The size was meant to accommodate balls/patches or flints, etc. Very nice work. dntn
thanks ! I try my best , but as you can see I`m still an amateur , only been doing this since the late 70`s , hope to one day do a few really nice german style hunting bags ! just gotta work up the nerve to do it and not worry about possibly ruining some leather ! lol my god , the price of leather has gone psycho the last 8 or 9 years !

[/quote] You can thank Mad Cow disease for that. Countries like England that had severe outbreaks were required to incinerate all parts of the cow and entire herds were destroyed. There was a ban on importation here in the US and both the price of beef and hides went up.

And also if you did not know it - Anyone who was in England during that time for more than a few weeks is forbidden to donate blood in any way according to the Federal Government and Red Cross.... I was a 5 gallon doner until that point ... every 70 days I would donate... Now I can't give a drop...
