Well boys I am leanin purty darn hard towards a Colerain Barrel.
I am told they have improved there method for finishin the flats, which in the past I think has been somewhat a concern by many. Much time spent a draw filin !!! Not sure what to think of the round bottom riflin ?
I reckon theys one way to find out.... I like the fact they ain't real far from home in case theys any kind of a problem. And they even told me they would fit the breech plug if I wanted them too.....

Shoulda mentioned that My .40 has a GM "B or C" wgt (fairly thick barrel just need to check) but handles great due to the swamp.  VEry accurate barrel, too.

Hanshi,  yeah I am kinda partial to the Ol Douglas Barrels. Years ago back in my rifle buildin days (late 70's, early 80's) they was a shop in Delaware, Ohio by the name of Golden Age Arms. They stocked Douglas Barrels, in fact Douglas even stamped GAA on the Douglas Barrels that this shop purchased. That was a nice shop indeed, darn near anything a rifle builder would need they had. Man could spend his whole day in there just a jennin around... Anyhows I have several rifles with them barrels on them and caint complain bout a one of them. However I reckon if I caint come up with a Douglas I be a tryin me one of these Colerain Barrels. Just don't know nothin bout that round bottom riflin. Fellars that have them sure seem to like them from what I been able to gather. I reckon I might get to have an opinion on it before the dust settles.

Deer Creek Products bought the machinery and stock from Douglas when they quit making ML barrels.  I have read from several folks that they felt the D-C barrels were just as good as, if not better than what Green Mountain produces.  Now I don't know how the new owners of D-C are doing, but you might give them a call and see if they can help you: https://www.deercreekproducts.net/

Otherwise, my Hodge-Podge rifle has a Colerain barrel and it does as well as I can shoot.  I don't see how you can go wrong with one.
