Title: Rich Pierce Flints
Post by: Winter Hawk on December 17, 2017, 12:07:33 AM
From all I have been able to gather, Rich Pierce is out of the flint making business (see sticky above). :'(

I tried sending him an email at the address in said sticky and it bounced back.  Can someone modify or remove his post to reflect this?

He was "out of business" before but then started up again. I got some flints from him about 2 years ago.

If he went out of business a second time, he may decide to sell again after awhile.

I also received an invalid email address message - So until such time as I get a working email from Rich I have removed the sticky and moved that post over to the links section.  I will add a statement reflecting the out of order email until I receive a working email or confirmation that Rich is out of business...

I hope he is not or has taught someone else how to make these flints - they are my primary use ones and I'm down to 4 or 5....  pnic

My modest flint stash includes RP's white flints, English black and a few Frency amber.  I've found them all about equal and get excellent service from them.  Right now I'm not in a position to buy any more although papa's deal sounds very good and more of Rich's white flints would be great.  Rich's flints run a tad larger than other makers and his larger flints for big locks are PERFECT for the huge lock on my smoothbore.
