Title: Been MIA, but Productive, Antler powder Measures
Post by: woody on October 07, 2017
In addition to the things I posted in Blades & Hawks I made a simple antler powder measure and my first carved antler measure in between gun builds.

Yep, me too. I was happy with it. Now I have a use for the antler tips I've had lying around the shop for ever.....when I want a change of pace!  ROFL

I have always liked antler measures, but all the ones I made wind up spilling powder outside the barrel. I guess you are not supposed to drill a tapered hole. Who knew?

I put a little pouring spout on some I have made , also.  It helps to pour it down the barrel. I made several before I got laid up with my back. I have about given  most of them away.  I need to get back at it. I like the carved one the best also.  Good work, Woody!
