Yep, same series of targets and hopefully a novelty target this month thmbsup
Got a question. In the past I've always given my bribe to our fearless, toothy leader. Do I still just bribe him or are there others that need to be "acknowledged" besides our pet badger? [hmm]
I will gladly and cheerfully except any LIQUID bribes on behalf of our weaslely leader during his dereliction of duty! ;D
[hmm] chrrs is okay, I guess. The head weasel required my first born until I reminded him that my fb was a middle aged man. wtch
I'm still planning to shoot the targets this month, but preparing to hunt Bighorn Sheep on a tight budget is taking up a lot of time and energy.
It only took me 20 years to draw the license, so I will be climbing those steep mountains and will use one of those things that use those brass thingies instead of a real gun.

Who says I am derelict or is that dairy licked in my duty... gosh this ice cream tastes good... new flavor the kids made up Jack Daniel #7 - and it goes down real smooth :)

Since I'll be down in Ga until early next week, I rushed out yesterday to shoot the off-hand and bench targets. I checked the poi of my .50 with 30 grains of 3F and it looked good. So I posted the required targets and started with the 25yd off-hand shoot. Now, the temp was in the low 90s, what we call "refreshing" here in Ga, but the humidity was at 100%. Occasional sprinkles but the firing line is under a long shed. By the time I started with the record targets the humidity had started a few minor "hang-fires". I'd shoot three very nice shots and the next would hang-fire just enough to send the ball into the white. I gave up and went to the 50yd bench target. Same thing; two or three well centered shots then a hang-fire. Finally gave up on it and went home.
I'll try again when I get back and try to squeeze in all three targets; I just hope for a reasonable days weather. I did wipe the pan and pick the vent and even swabbed the bore; no effect. I kind cheated; I faced the targets this time and didn't use a mirror. 'SNTY" hntr
Just got back from Ga on a red-eye train and am absolutely washed out....not soap and water, just general pain and fatigue. I HOPE to shoot Thursday but think I'll have to cheat. Right now my goal is getting up to last place, if it's a good day. rdfce
Last weekend of the month.

Last weekend of the month.
Well, let's extend it; say, to 40 days? [hmm]
If my sciatica would quit, I'd try again because I know I won't do anything after hunting season opens on Sept. 16th. hntr
I shot AT all the targets last week.
I made a really bad choice of shooting glasses, the problem is that I have a choice between seeing the sights and seeing the targets. I chose to see the sights this time so I only had a general idea of where the target was and what part of it to shoot AT.

I do know that the center of the target is where you normally aim, but if you aren't sure where the center is you just have to point and hope. hdslp

I can relate to that. I am still fighting having to go lefty full time. It is ok off the bench and with pistol.
Offhand still using my blind eye hoping that muscle memory takes over each time the vision goes grey.
It has become more of a memory of having had muscles once..........
I lost the use of my right eye about 15 years ago and had shot right handed since I was a kid. While trying to learn to do it lefty I mounted a pair of mirrors on a rifle and kept shooting right handed "with my left eye". It was looked at by the range officers at Friendship and accepted, as there was no magnification, and kept me competitive until shooting lefty kicked in. I can't post but I can forward some pics of what I did if it will help you. or others.

Looks like the only day for me to shoot is Tuesday 29th. If I screw it up this time maybe I'll win the coveted "last place" trophy.

Or to take a page from "Rio Lobo" (or whichever movie had James Caan as Allen Berdacios Budroe ) get a Swiss gun maker to make you a pistol which uses shotgun shells... (caution today this might entail some issues with BATF) :mini-devil-28492:
Don't the extra holes REDUCE the score? (susp) hdslp
