Title: Your Own Good Stuff
Post by: Hanshi on February 04, 2017, 07:03:24 PM
[hmm] How many of you have (time after time) had to get someone else to move their crap so you have room for your stuff?  I mean it's their crap but it's your stuff and you need room!   wtch

REALLY! I'm sick and tired of other peoples crap being where I NEED to put my stuff! Some people are SO inconsiderate!  :mini-devil-28492:

Yep, too many times and sometimes my stuff gets covered up and even buried by their crap.

Now, now folks. be nice. One persons crap is another persons fertilizer. Besides, think of the fun of the rediscovery of some lost treasure found under their "crap".

Well, I'm a firm believer in always searching for better stuff....something better than the old stuff.  [hmm]

When Blue Bird and I got this house [a 3 bed room] there would be a room for her sewing stuff and a room for my gun stuff.
Now comes the rub, I have so much of my stuff on top of my stuff that I can not find my other stuff.  ;D

My wife foolishly believes that when I get new stuff,  that the old stuff should be gotten rid of.  "Stuff" doesn't grow on trees and she needs to understand that.  Just because someone else gets rid of some of their "crap" doesn't mean I need to get rid of any of my stuff.

More fortunate than some, I have a fair size shop that is next to the garage which is attached to the house so you would think I would have enough room for tons of stuff. Unfortunately for me, my house seems to sharply slope towards the garage end. I'm really not sure but I do know that all the stuff that my wife  (and now my daughter too) don't think should be in the house piles up by the garage door, where my office is. Then if it does not move out of the house quick enough, it mysteriously rolls into the shop and tries to cover up my stuff. I'm not sure how this happens and I am looking into it, but in the meantime I am constantly moving all kinds of stuff away from my stuff, and it looks like I will be doing this for a long time.

A man's home is his castle and a man's "stuff" is irreplaceable.

Should also mention that the definition of "good stuff" is:  Something you wouldn't take a million dollars for, yet still wouldn't give a hundred for something else just like it.  Okay, maybe a million, perhaps.  wtt

Any time it's YOUR stuff, it's good stuff. Until you don't want it anymore, then and only then does it become trash or junk.

I used to work for an entrepreneur who didn't allow us to call failures of ideas or production, trash or junk. If he heard us calling something anything a derogatory term he jumped on us, so one of plant managers came up w/ the term "ferndock". Since the owner didn't want to sound like he didn't know every thing (he had an engineering degree,) when he heard us talk about getting rid of 'ferndock",he never questioned us about what it was. We were all country boys from PA & he was from Baltimore so he apparently thought it was a PA thing.

I've got so much stuff that there's no room for other people's stuff to cover it up.
