Title: Sighting in a rifle...
Post by: Red Badger on September 16, 2016, 03:04:53 AM
I've got a couple of rifles that are in need of sighting in, and with my school schedule it is difficult to get range time.  Does anyone know of a system to secure a gun for bench shooting while allowing for it to be tilted to reload?  or anything like that.  What about bore sighting something larger than a 50 cal?  Any help will be appreciated.... Wool A Roc is coming up and I would like to hit at least one target at the shoots!

The best thing I have found is a sand bag or two on a stable table.

i sight in at 13 yards, with open sights, dead on.usually, not always that puts bullet 2 inchs high at 50 yds and about dead on at 100. and use a couple of sandbags as a rest ! has worked for me rather well the last  38 years !
