Well, for starters. Youngest daughter left first week of Feb. to move in with her boyfriend in Seattle. We live in Flagstaff AZ. She left her 4 mo. old son with us to take care of...planed on one month max. Now she broke up with him and rented an apartment with coworker in Seattle . No money or time to come get my grandson. My wife and I are still caring for him full time. Great little kid for 7 mo. old , but a lot of work now that we are not young anymore. l,m going to be forced back to working out of Needles,CA by the 7Th. of May. Then home only 12-16 hours ever third day..Kind of tough on my wife to care for the little rascal buy herself.
Then to add to worry time. My son got out of prison 10 days ago. Already broke parole and has the blue coats looking for him.. Stopped by our home last night at 0230 hrs. Spent night and then told us he was back on meth since first day out... we called parole officer and locals came and picked him up on three local warrants. We don't even know where he stands width the state cops, but they want him too. It's really tough watching your son be led out of your home in cuffs. I don't seem, to have much time to get out shooting lately, but still try to keep up with all you guys here.
Now seems to be my time to ask for all the prayers that can be put up for my son, daughter , wife and myself. We are all carrying a heavy load right now and the Lord taking the load off seems to be our only hope,, PS don't forget the little guy either. He won't even remember who his mom is.

A hand on the shoulder and a prayer from here.
Prayers on the Wind...
Prayers up from here.
Prayers Up
Prayers up
Prayers up.
Prayers up Brother.
Prayers up for you and your family.
Prayers on the way!
Prayers sent, keep the faith and all will turn out well!
Your wife needs the prayers. The kids have already chosen their paths.
Glad to see that you're not an enabler with your son. Tough love is the only kind that helps.
life is sometimes like that , the old saying ,"when it rains it pours " is a little too accurate for my liking ! so prayers are on the way , perhaps our prayers can be your umbrella , sounds like ya`ll need one ! hang in there , things do tend to get better !
Prayer on the way...
Prayer's on the way.
You know you have been on my prayer chain since day one so we'll add the rest of the family! Keep the faith and know we stand with you in spirit.
Doug,
I hope it all resolves for the best for you, your family and particularly your grandson.

Thanks guys. We're gettting by, the little guy is doing great. His mom now says "be back to get him in June." Love him, but can' be too soon. Son is settling right back into his controlled life. Still don't know his outcome, but have to let him work it out for himself. All we can do is pray for a good ourcome some time in the future.....Still haven't been forced out of area for work. This is the latest into the summer that I've been home for 5 yrs, so something is working in my favor... Now looking like June 16 for move. It's been a blessing to be home to help my wife with Taylor, but looks like she will be on her own until my daughter gets home or I go on vacation on 20 June. Onward with life.
Doug
I just sent another prayer on up, specifically thanking Him for bestowing blessings upon me and for wisdom, strength and protection, all blessings in general, for you and your family.
Well, I'm back working out of Needles. Hot and dry. Not home much, but the little guy sure jumps with excitement when I walk in the door (even better than a loving dog).
Work more often, make more money, get more sleep, but sure was nice being home for a while...
Son transferred back to prison for blowing his parole. Says we don't know what it's like to have the hooks of meth. clawing at you. He's right, but he will have to get free if he ever wants a life worth living.
Thanks for your prayers and keep them up. We still need the support...
Also working with VA rep. to try to get new eval. on my spine and thumb conditions.
Beat all the odds so far. They said I'd be in a wheel chair 30yrs ago and I said "NUTS". Just live with pain everyday and count your blessings. Dr.s can be such pessimists at times. Now they look at my x-rays and just shake their heads and say that is sure crooked.
Onward and upward, life goes on and we must prosper.
Hope you got the weekend to be with he family... Will keep the prayers flowing...
Praying for you.
Thanks for the prayers, they are most welcome. Taylor's mom flew in and visited with him and us for 3 days week before last.
She was upset that he didn't know her--go figure. Leaving here in AM for San Antonio, Tex. Helping middle daughter move. Family just keeps you young or is it they keep you tired....20hr drive with 26' box truck. Fly back on 3rd and drive back to Needles. If lucky, I will get some sleep before I have to take a train out...

I'm 15 minutes north of San Antonio so if you have time or just need a break, send me a PM and I'll give you my number.
You have our prayers to my friend, we gotta get the lord to help bail you out so I can come visit one of these days, in the mean time our prayers for you will be a dailey thing in our home.
Your trials do need a little divine help and maybe we can help.
Praying for you and your family DandJofAZ

William. I'd love to meet with you. Just didn't work out with just one car in TX at this time for family. When we get back there to visit you can bet I will call you. They live off the end of Military Rd. West side central to south. Told my daughter about your post... she said you could be anywhere from 30min to 1 1/2 hours away depending where 15min north... Looking forward to putting a real face on another member.

I grew up in Live Oak, right at IH-35 and Loop 1604 and now I hail from New Braunfels. I know San Antonio well and I'm maybe a half hour from where your daughter lives. Looking forward to meeting y'all next time you are in town.
William, she mentioned New Braunfels and said it was 30min... Looking forward to our meet.
Doug
Most certainly!
My daughter came home.... she is now staying with a new boy friend and comes by to see her son an hour or two almost every day...she even takes him over night some times. Is that being a Mommy?? My son came crawling home begging mom to let him stay and straighten up.. Into the garage to sleep and One meal a day for two weeks. Then when the office was unlocked the robbed mom's purse, unscrewed the back door to the garage and stole my Raleigh bicycle. Off to the drug life with new infusion of money and trade goods... please continue to pray for our situation....
P.S, oldest daughter just finished school for her nursing degree and starts new career on first of DEC.
Still hoping to retire next year but somehow things are still up in the air... GO FIGGER.
Doug
Prayers continue for you and your family.
Man, I feel for you. Kids always know how to work their parents. Keep your chin up.
