Added another nice old horn to my collection today. Pretty sure the thong is not original to the horn.

Good looking old horn. Is that a repair pinned on to the spout end?

It does look like some sort of a repair on that end.  And it is a nice old horn.

Yes indeed Mark, one of the things that I thought was neat. These horns with repairs seem to fascinate me.  dntn
