Title: Dixon's Gunmaker's Fair
Post by: zimmerstutzen on July 14, 2015, 02:56:46 PM
Folks here in the MidAtlantic consider Dixon's a shrine to Muzzle loading and make frequent pilgrimages there.  Every year the end of July they have a show and competition of those who make long rifles, as well as educational seminars on engraving, relief carving etc.   I remember when Dixon ran his shop out of an old dairy barn a few miles west 35 years ago.   Been to Dixon's at least a hundred of times but maybe I'll get to the Fair this year.   A few years ago, PCN broadcast some of the seminars on their cable channel.  You might still be able to access them somewhere on the web.

Other vendors come from all over the eastern US to sell guns and show their wares.
