Title: History Came Alive
Post by: Papa on April 20, 2015, 12:51:02 AM
History came alive this week in the form of leather goods and newspapers. I have in my fat little hands 2 civil war cartridge boxes, had three but one is spoken for, and a war of 1812 cartridge box. All are in above average condition with some minor damage. Along with the cartridge boxes are two newspapers dated June 11 and June 21, 1811. They have been verified as real. Both are in good legible condition. In one is an article related to the coming war with France and the other has a list of 40 ships in Chesapeake Bay along with their manifests. Really interesting items.
