Are you going to have anymore?
Someone has to step up and start one, but when that happens a few of us go out and shoot some targets.
probably after the weather warms up and the snow melts..... :mini-devil-28492: Of course if someone in a warm climate wants to get the ball rolling and officiate....... prty
Might be interested in firing up another series but the distance will be limited for a month or so. Same type format ok? That was pistol at 25 yds offhand, Rifle at 25 yds offhand, and benched at 50 yds. And a novelty target each month?
I have been shooting almost every other month for a while now. If the postal shoots come back I just might be able to participl.. particlep.... uh.. join in.
Today's high temperature here was 20 degrees and you can subtract about 15 degrees at my range, so I haven't been doing much shooting. My hands go numb from some old injuries when things are that cold. When it warms up I will be happy to do some shooting again.

PM me if you decide to start a summer series of matches.
Flintboomer, You'll have to be more specific on timing... some of our northern members, such as beowulf will think it's spring/summer when the first ice starts dripping out of the trees... liquid H2O does that to some of those Nordthern folk.

Doug your cruel ! truthful but cruel... [conf]
Actually got above 32 degrees here yesterday. Saw a young guy coming out of the local market - wearing shorts and Flip Flops...
I'm still in the South, though no longer the deep South, and between the horrendous weather and medical problems I haven't shot in months. If we're talking April, then that should work out. We're expecting another 5" of snow tonight. Back in Ga I'd never thought such things were possible; I'm use to 60-70 degrees in Feb.
:o I'm with Hanshi.... Hopefully next month will be better. They are callin for anywhere from 4 to 10 inches of more snow here tomorrow.
It was 22 this AM when I got up. It was 58 when I left work. These PERPETUAL High Pressure systems make for an interesting work day.
Coat and gloves to start and T-shirts by morning break. My tan is coming along nicely! blah It's supposed to be about 65-70 this weekend. Don't know what to tell you guys, there ain't no winter where I live, just 3 1/2 hours south of the Canadian border. ;D
We had 35° today and we expect -4° tomorrow sooooooooooooo..........If we are going to shoot, let's do it. Kind of like pre-season. I can not get the 50 yd line cleared but 25 has been a going thing all winter. Flintboomer, I will send pm.
So how much interest is there in a summer series?
I plan on shooting in the NMLRA postal shoots. They run from May to Oct. That seems to make more sense than trying to shoot in cold weather.
Mountain men must have been very hungry by the time that t-shirt weather rolled around :mini-devil-28492:
Most of them stayed with the Indians in the winter. That, or a fort.
I live at 8000ft in the Rockies, and it's not too bad, but i'd hate to be living 2000ft higher. It's ugly up there.
So summer pelts brought a better return? Just asking.....
For the almost record, NH had the second coldest month in history. Missed it by a couple tenths of a degree. Maine may have made the new record. We only had one day above freezing

Hard to trap when the water is frozen.
once the snow stops flying, I NEED to do some shooting. A postal will fill the need, perfectly.

Nope Most fellers trapped in the fall and early winter, found a good place to stay warm for the deep winter, and then started again just as the ice was melting in the high mountains and got the good pew before the animals shed winter coats.
Are all of you sissies ready now to do a little shooting or should we wait until the bug season is over.????.....then it is too hot, or too windy....but then the fire season is upon us (a REAL concern, even here)
Let me know when it is a good time to start.................. :mini-devil-28492:.
I start this month..........MAY, ............ Official target (see rules) One offhand @ 25 yds, one pistol @ 25 yds Shoot what you will. Anyone offended can offer a duel, but only with firearms as I am not allowed sharp objects.........another story. 'shok' hdslp
Send target postmarked before 6/1 to : Brian LaRose

Thanks for stepping up to the plate - and with you officiating you can't compete so someone else has a chance of winning strpot I would suggest that you post a new topic so people can chime in there.
5 shots and send in the best or luckiest as usual?
