Title: Shotgunners bag
Post by: James Sommese on December 01, 2014, 09:37:05 PM
Would someone that hunts with aml shotgun carry a bag that was made for a shotgun and it's equipment or would a shooting bag for a rifle or shotgun be the same.  I have noticed that some say a shooting bag should not have dividers in it, but with a shotgun you have more stuff to stuff down the barrels, finding it would be easier if bag was divided.

I use the same bag but many folks do use a bit larger fowler bag.  Some are made with an open netting section to carry birds in.....Mick

I got a nice bag from Grey Bear. I use it for my shotgun but it would be nice if there were more compartments for preloaded paper "cartridges" or shot/powder tubes.

We actually sell a larger single bag that is round bottomed and designed more for the larger equipmwnt of shotgunning.  Check the website at www.greybearleather.com

MtnMike,

The GreyBear website should give all the info.
I got this one because I wanted a leather strap instead of a cloth one.

I use a "Pancho Villa" style bandolier with those little tubes for powder and shot stuffed into the loops. I load up one pocket with nitro cards for over powder, no cushion wad as per V.M.Star method and the other side coat pocket with over shot cards.  Put the Ted Cash capper in my pocket and I am good to go.  Very quick loading.
