 Don Getz, one of our own passed away Tuesday night, Prayers for his family and friends.

I've dealt with Don once or twice on another forum and found him to be a totally straight up guy. He was the fellow behind Getz barrels, later his son took it over. But the name Getz on a barrel is considered by many to be the mark of excellence.  I've never used one, but the number of folks that have speaks volumes. He will be sorely missed in our community.

I actually met Mr. Getz at an 17th &18th Century artisan's show put on earlier this year. A very gracious man willing to talk with you about muzzleloading for an extended period of time even if you told him up front you weren't a builder only a shooter. A class act.
