Title: No Haz Mat Fee?? Is this a deal?
Post by: Rockwell Torrey on September 14, 2014, 02:15:38 AM
Found this on Amazon.  I'm too new to know if this is a deal or not.  Someone please school me.

I can't find a haz mat fee but it may be built into the price.

I am a Prime member so I get free 2nd day shipping.

I don't think it's a deal. Probably no hazmat fee cause it is so hard to light.

$27 a pound is a bit much - but then I buy in bulk and get 25 pounds of Goex shipped to my door for about $12.50 a pound...

I would suggest looking around your area for a club - they may buy in bulk for their members and pass the savings along.

I always thought amazon was like ebay and dindn't like things that go boom

I tried that (expletive deleted) in a caplock & in a #209 primer firing, not to be mentioned on this site. I couldn't get anywhere near the group size I knew was possible, & it seemed to have differing power with each shot. I relegated what was left to use in my Pedersoli dbl bbl 12 ga caplock for trash shooting. Now if I'm not shooting GOEX, I shoot Triple 7. Almost all of my shooting is w/GOEX. BTW, I sold that not to be mentioned @ a gun auction & made a profit. Part of that profit got me a Navy Arms .50 cal. mule ear Rifle & a single shot 45/70 H&R Shikari model rifle.   'SNTY"

I tried that stuff a few years ago and if it gets old it won't work. It smokes good but doesn't have much power.
Stick with real black or if you have to go with a substitute use 777.

:-&  I wont go near that stuff. A fellow at the range was using it one day. He had all kinds of hangfires. Also he had left the lid off the jug for a little while and you could see fumes coming off it.  Witches brew says I.  bunkr
