Dave,
That's a nice rifle that you have. Just for what they're worth, two things jumped out at me; It appears that the barrel may have been set back at some time in it's life. I'm basing that thought on the location of the initials on the barrel. Normally they would be considerably further forward  from the breech. The second thing that I noticed is the way the barrel is marked above the drum. It almost looks like the drum may have been leaking when the rifle was last shot and the gases burned the barrel. "If" the drum is leaking I wouldn't do anything with it, unless you plan to shoot it, other than notify the buyer. The set back barrel may cause some buyers to make a lower than appraised offer. I am not trying the demean your rifle, these are just my thoughts. It is a historic piece with a good maker's name. Good luck.

Papa thanks for the questions. The rifle was apprasied by Keith Castel. He's a good friend. Its all original excepth the new nipple. Keith need to re-tap the treading. When I fired the gun the 1st time the nipple blew out. Luckly I pulled the trigger from behind the sheilding of a tree. Keith reserched the builder and refences picks show the same markings. I got the rifle from a friend who's family has owed it for as long as he can remember a collectors.
