Title: making a bakers ( ? ) tent
Post by: mrclean100 on July 07, 2014
I made a tipi using the Laubins book . It turned out pretty nice . Decided to make a smaller one so I just multiplied all the measurements for the 1st tipi by .8 to make one 80% the size of the 1st . That also worked well . I just had a guy ask me to make him what he called a range tent . From his description it seems a lot like a bakers tent . Is there on online source that may have measurements / pattern or other info ?

I made a tipi . pretty much straight out of the laubin book . Ive been using it for some time now and really enjoy it . Last week I took all the measurements from that one and multiplied them by .8 to get measurements for what turned into a decent 15 foot tipi . Painted it up and everything . Ill pitch them in the backyard in the next few days and post a pic or two . Its a fair amount of work but its work I enjoy ( so , hobby ?? ) .

Rev , That sounds close enough for me to work with . Ill do an image search so I dont get too far off on the ratios . Sewn in floor or is it more like just a tipi with corners ?
