Post by: beowulf on March 07, 2014
this is a scottish claymore made by del tin armi antiche in italy , the steel is ck55 from the krupp steelworks ! bought it new in 1984 for $300 new , they now sell for around $580 to $600 plus shipping ! this bad boy is 30 years old and other than having developed a patina is in the same condition as the day it arrived !  overall length is 58 inches , blade length is 41 inches , the guard is 12 inches wide  blade is 1 7/8 inches wide and very sharp ! it weighs in at a manageable 5 1/2 pounds . the second photo shows the balance point ! it is a fully functional sword , would look great hanging on the wall of your den or "man cave "  and would go over well at reenactments or rennfaires !  will let it go for what I paid ! $300  and I`ll pay the shipping !
