Title: Homemade flint striker tip
Post by: Lucky Buckeye on January 28, 2014
Some may not realize this but common bed frames from the sixties (1960s) are made out of metal almost as hard as my noggin ROFL
I'm talking about the ones that look like angle iron and riveted together...not the stamped steel looking ones. Cut out the shape you want with a fiber cutoff wheel (or 3) . Not need to to have a forge for this DIY.

Had a gocart frame made of one of those hard old frames as a kid.  Couldn't drill it worth a darn..too hard..didn't even know what flint and steel was back then..just used matches..

Sorry Hanshi, just had the brainstorm after my first cup of Rise and Shine. Need to check out the local thrift stores for another supply. I do metal work so I got the tools. All my steel is the regular mild stuff.
